The Good News is the story of God drawing near to a broken world with healing, mercy, and hope.
We were created for life with Him, yet sin fractured that relationship and left us unable to fix ourselves. But God did not leave us there. In Jesus through His life, His cross, and His resurrection, God makes a way for forgiveness, freedom, and restoration.
And the Good News does not end at salvation. Through the Holy Spirit, we are invited into a daily, lived apprenticeship to Jesus by learning His way, becoming like Him, and joining Him in His redeeming work in the world.
I believe that I am a sinner in need of a Savior, unable to heal or rescue myself.
I believe that God, in love, sent Jesus Christ to redeem what I could not restore.
I believe He lived the life I could not live, died the death my sin deserved, and rose again to defeat sin, death, and darkness.
Through His life, death, and resurrection, I am forgiven, freed, and made new.
I believe the Holy Spirit calls me, awakens me, and empowers me to live a life aligned with God’s will, to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did.
I believe the Scriptures reveal God’s story and form me into His image.
I believe I am called to love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love my neighbor as myself.
I believe my life belongs to God,
my heart to be healed,
my mind to be renewed,
my body to be used for His Kingdom,
my soul to be aligned with His Spirit.
This is the way I choose to live…
rooted in the gospel, surrendered to Christ, guided by the Spirit, for the glory of God.
Amen.
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. He is love, goodness, holiness, righteousness, and wisdom. He created humanity in His image and likeness. We are designed for relationship with Him, created to reflect His character, and called to steward His world with justice, mercy, and humility. All creation was made good, and humanity was made to walk with God in trust, obedience, and delighted communion.
I believe that through sin, humanity turned away from God’s loving rule. This rebellion fractured our relationship with Him, with each other, with creation, and even within our own hearts. Sin brought death both spiritually and physically, and left us unable to save or heal ourselves. I confess that I am a sinner in need of a Savior, broken, limited, prone to wander, and utterly dependent on God’s grace.
I believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who took on flesh, became human, and dwelt among us. He revealed the true heart of the Father and showed us what it means to be fully human. He lived a perfect life, obeying where we fail, loving where we resist, serving where we grasp for power.
I believe He died on the cross for our sins, bearing our guilt and shame, and offering Himself as the perfect sacrifice of love. I believe He rose from the dead, conquering sin, death, evil, and darkness. Through His resurrection, He inaugurated God’s Kingdom, a new creation breaking into the present age.
I believe He ascended to heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, and will return in glory to restore all things, judging evil and renewing creation.
Through Jesus Christ, I am forgiven, redeemed, adopted, and made new.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the gift and promise of God’s abiding presence. The Spirit awakens faith, convicts of sin, and draws people to Jesus. The Spirit indwells believers, shaping us into the image of Christ, empowering us for witness, and producing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The Spirit equips the Church with spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body and leads us into lives of holiness, courage, wisdom, and sacrificial love. By the Spirit, I am invited into the ongoing transformation of being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did.
I believe the Bible is the Spirit-breathed revelation of God. It's the authoritative story that leads us to Jesus. It is trustworthy, true, and sufficient for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. Through Scripture, God speaks, forms, comforts, and shapes His people to participate in His Kingdom.
I believe in the one, holy, catholic Church which is the Body of Christ, united by the Spirit across time and place. The Church is God’s redeemed people, called to embody the Gospel in community and mission. We gather for worship, prayer, teaching, and fellowship. We scatter to love our neighbors, serve the world, and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. We are called to be a kingdom of priests reflecting God’s wisdom, justice, generosity, hospitality, and compassion in every sphere of life.
I believe in the resurrection of the dead and the renewal of all things. Jesus will return to make all things new in a restored heaven and earth where righteousness dwells. God will wipe away every tear, death will be no more, and all creation will be restored under Christ’s Lordship. My hope is not in this present age but in the coming Kingdom of God.
This is the story I confess, the reality I trust, and the hope I live toward. This is the faith that guides my life, informs my creed, and shapes my practices. By God’s grace, through the Holy Spirit, I seek to live this story every day... with Jesus, like Jesus, and for Jesus.
Amen.
